A fantastic place to stay, especially if you love old historic places. Positive: Beautiful property with so much history significance and ambiance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we couldn’t ask for a better experience. We will definitely be returning for our next quiet get away. Negative: The local area is still working to comeback from the recent hurricanes, but there is still is plenty to do and see.

Had a birthday weekend for a friend. Got a few rooms and it was a wonderful experience. No TVs in room was just fine. Bathrooms are just fine for this old time charm. Gary

Perfect location for a weekend escape to Cedar Key. We came in from Gainesville to kayak and relax for the weekend. This hotel is so full of history and mystique that made for the perfect way to enjoy the area. If you're looking for Marriott or Hilton vibes, this isn't your place. But if you want a fun, centrally located, historic, friendly, maybe haunted, but has everything you need, this book a room now. We checked in and walked to the kayaks. After our paddle, we cleaned up and had dinner downstairs. (Fantastic, fresh seafood) The next morning we woke up to an email filled with local recommendations, walked to breakfast, did some shopping and walked to lunch on Dock Street. Staff was SUPER friendly. I'd much rather stay in accommodations like this over a chain hotel any day. Bring ear plugs if noises/voices bother you. The bar downstairs had a karaoke night that we could clearly hear from the room. And the voice in the common area outside the door were pretty clear as well. We knew that coming into it so it didn't bother us. But depending on the night, it might not be totally quiet. I'll definitely stay here again for our next Cedar Key escape.
